There are two major schools of outpatient PT treatment: Manual therapy vs. exercise focused care. Much of the pain and limitation you are experiencing is coming from changes to the joints and surrounding tissues that only doing exercises will not correct. Skilled manual therapy interventions can be the key to your quickest and most complete recovery.
Our therapists are each expertly trained manual therapists in a variety of different approaches including manipulation, mobilization, muscle energy, strain-counterstrain, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, myofascial release, instrumented soft tissue release, dry needling, Mulligan and McKenzie approaches among others. The breadth of training of our Doctors of Physical Therapy means that if one approach is not working, we have many more options to try. There is no “one trick pony” at Synergy.
