Annie is a native of Augusta County, graduating from Fort Defiance High School in 2011. Through local mentorship experiences and being a multi-sport athlete herself, Annie developed an interest in Physical Therapy. In 2015, she graduated as Valedictorian from Roanoke College with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. She pursued further education in Physical Therapy and graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in May of 2018 from Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences in Fishersville, VA. During her clinical rotations she gained experience working with a variety of patient populations in outpatient orthopedics and skilled nursing facilities. Annie completed her final clinical rotation at Synergy Rehab and Wellness. She recognized the unique holistic and personal care provided at this clinic and officially joined the Synergy team after graduation.
Annie has developed a passion for functional fitness and helping her patients maximize their potential in all facets of their lives. In June of 2018 she became a PWR!Moves© Certified Instructor to implement functional exercises that are adapted to meet the needs of individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. Annie also holds a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer Certificate and enjoys coaching functional fitness classes. In her free time, Annie enjoys spending time with family, hiking, running and doing CrossFit.
